America hungers for...sleep!

USA Weekend and Allrecipes.com
got a surprise when they polled Americans on food behavior. When they
asked 1,000 adults between 25 and 74, “What is the most important factor
in your happiness?,” 51% of women said “sleep.” Food was a distant
second at 18%, and sex came in third at 14%.
Care to guess what came first with men?
More than a third put sex at the top. But sleep beat out food for the
second position, 26% to 21%.
“People derive the most happiness out
of the things they have the hardest time getting,” Alison James, author
of I Used to Miss Him…But My Aim is Improving, told USA
Weekend (Sept. 30). “Women are always sleep-deprived. But for men,
sex is a bigger challenge. To get it, they have to wine, dine and say
all the right things – a tall order for a lovably lazy hubby.”
Tempur-Pedic’s Perspective:
Clearly, a good night’s sleep is foremost on a lot of people’s wish
lists. As Americans become increasingly sleep-challenged, the quality
of our sleep takes on added importance. Tempur-Pedic mattresses have
proven to not only help people fall asleep faster, they also provide a
deeper, more rejuvenating sleep that gives them more energy the next
day. Now, that’s food for thought!
